One Eyeland Awards 2017 finalist
Adjudged by a jury of 17 eminent artists, the awards this year received over 4000 images from 74 countries.
In all, our choosy judges decided to give out 16 Golds, 72 Silvers, 232 Bronzes and 404 Finalists.
And I am happy to announce that I am one of the 404 Finalists.
B&W CHILD COMPETITION 2017 2ND HALF
We want to thank all photographers who took part in the Second Half of World's best photo competition devoted to the art of black and white child photography!
This was a hard battle! We certainly had one of the strongest contests in the quality of submitted images! Judges had a hard task to select the shortlisted photographs among over 1800 submitted photographs in the Second Half!

KLPA AWARDS PRESENTATION
Kuala Lumpur Photography Awards are proud to present a public exhibition of the 10th KLPA2017 Finalists portraits from 9 – 19 September, 2017 at the Whitebox Gallery, PUBLIKA in Kuala Lumpur. Jij bent jij en ik ben ik, dat is een simpel feit. Een feit die verbonden is met verschillende factoren zoals bijvoorbeeld het karakter, interesses, imperfecties, talenten en dat ene sproetje op je wang. Het maakt ons tot wie we zijn. Maar wat als je weet hoe je je voelt, maar dat beeld klopt niet met dat wat je ziet in de spiegel? Welke zekerheid heb je dan? Het leven wordt " Wie ben ik?" , een spel dat voor ieder individu jarenlang kan duren.
Transgenders voelen zich gedeeltelijk tot niet thuis in de geslachtsrol die past bij de aangeboren geslachtskenmerken. Vele ervaren een lang persoonlijk proces om het beeld in de spiegel kloppend te maken aan hoe zij zich diep van binnen voelen. Het is een strijd die nooit ophoud, maar elk komt er sterker uit. Je wenst de pijn, tegenslagen en hobbels niemand toe. Maar het is de ultieme manier om je eigen ik te ontdekken.
Eigenlijk wil ik dat iedereen meegeven; wees eerlijk naar jezelf over wie je bent, want uiteindelijk telt dat het meest.
Vanaf nu te zien bij het Gemeentehuis in Beuningen tot midden september 2017

10TH ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL COLOR AWARDS HONORS PHOTOGRAPHER BOY SURMNSKI FROM THE NETHERLANDS
LOS ANGELES March 4 2017 - Professional photographer Boy Surminski of The Netherlands was presented with the 10th Annual International Color Awards Varusa Misidjan in the category of portrait at a prestigious Nomination & Winners Photoshow streamed Saturday, March 4, 2017.
The live online gala was attended by 9,575 photography fans around the globe who logged on to watch the climax of the industry's most important event for color photography.
10th Annual Jury members included captains of the industry from Christie's, New York; Contemporary Art Society, London; Sotheby's, Paris; ING Collection, Netherlands; Y&R, Malaysia; Preus Museum, Norway; Art Beatus, Hong Kong; Ogilvy & Mather, Amsterdam; Whitechapel Gallery, London; and J. Walter Thompson, New York who honored Color Masters with 723 title awards in 33 categories.
